Hey, the journalist is here!

Hello everyone once again! I'm Ángela, the journalist of this week, so I'm in charge of telling you a bit about what we have been doing while we have been working on the task number 5, which consisted on, as you can see in some other posts, doing a video where we explain the things that we have learnt in this subject called 'School organization and educational resources'.

As our facilitator has alredy told you, we have some difficulties to met all together at the same day, so we did the video in three differents days.

Firstly, on Monday, after the teacher told us about the activity of this week and as she gave us the option of doing the video in two different websites, we were deciding which one we were going to be working with. Finally, we chose to do it with Moovly, because comparing it with Powtoon, the first one was better from our point of view. What's more, we were talking about different posibilities of doing the video, in fact, we thought of doing it representing a game called 'Pasapalabra', but at the end we thought that it could be a bit difficult for us to do, so finally, we decided to wait for the day in which we were going to start the video, to decide what to do, because we did not really know how Moovly worked.

On Tuesday 10th, Paula, Noelia, Marta and Marina stayed at university after our lessons and they started doing the video. While some of them were exploring Moovly, the others were doing like an index which was going to be used later, in order to develop the whole video. Once they knew how to start doing the video and what to say in it, they started working on it. They were also doing a script, because at first, we were going to include some voices in the video, but at the end, we decided that it was better not to include it because we did not have enough time to record it and because it was going to be difficult to fit the voice with the video, so finally, the script that they were doing, was not used at all.

On Wednesday 11st, the rest of the group met, I mean, Clara, Elena, Holly and Ángela (me). We continued doing the video that our mates had alredy started on Tuesday, as I said before. We changed a bit the index that they did because we thought that it was better to do the video in another way, so once we modified it, we continued working on it. We tried to finish the video, but it was not possible because of the slowness of those type of activities, so we decided that we were going to meet on Friday as well.

On Friday 13rd, four of us were able to meet (Paula, Clara, Elena and me) and we were able to finish the video AT LAST!!

And finally, the most important day arrived, the day of the contest. This day was Monday 16th, and our 'star' Noelia, presented the video saying the reasons why our group should win, while Clara and Holly gave the rest of our mates some little flags where the logo of our group appeared.

Once every group presented their video, it was time for all of us to vote! We had to vote as if we were in that famous contest called 'Eurovision' and the facilitators were the ones that had to say the points (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 or 12) that we gave to the rest of the groups. There were also an Spanish and French translator that were translating most of things into those languages. All of those things were quite funny and interesting to do because it is not very usual and it shows us that there are creative ways of doing activities in class.

Now, it's time for me to advice you some blogs:

First of all I would like you to visit one from some of our mates which is called 7UP, you can find the link down below. I really like this blog because of the way that it is decorated, I think it really catch the interest and the attention of the people that is reading it. It may happen because of the colors they use, which makes the blog be colourful and funny to read.

And last but not least, I advice to visit a blog called 'The cool cat teacher'. I think this blog is a really good one, because it gives you news about everything realted to education, it also gives you tips for being an innovative teacher, as well as some games that can be used for the right development of lessons. As the author of this blog says (Vicki Davis), 'when you test, you should know what your students know. You should know if they understand the content EVERY SINGLE DAY. Two weeks is too long to wait to know what they know.' We, as future teachers, should start being aware and should take into account important details that will be useful for us, and reading things like that help us learn those important details.
The link which takes you to this blog is the following one: http://www.coolcatteacher.com/

Thank you all for reading us!
