KEEP CALM GUYS, I’M GOING TO ANALYZE THIS SITUATION!

Hello everyone, I’m Elena Sánchez the analyst of Keep calm and keep organized this week. The activity we have worked with is called “What have we learnt?” and it consists of summarizing in a video everything we have learnt during the course in this subject.

The worse part of this activity has been working with a program that nobody of our group knew: Moovly. It was a big challenge for us because we had to look for some tutorials about how to use it in youtube. And although we learnt a little more about that program, the basic, I want to say that it is a complex program that caused us stress in some moments.
In fact, when we have made around twenty seconds of the video we deleted it without realizing what we were doing, and this angered us.
But fortunately we remembered how to do it again in the same way, so that was what we did, repeated the same process.

The best part of this activity from my point of view has been the contest. It was really funny and dynamic. Watching the rest of the videos was really entertaining for me because you could see the different point of views of the classmates and their creativity.
Focusing the activity as The Eurovision Contest was a fantastic idea and when facilitators were grading the other groups was a really funny moment.

Firstly we have learnt how to use moovly, it took its time but finally we did it well.
We have also learnt how to summarize a lot of contents and include them in a specific time. At the beginning we wanted to add everything in our video, all the pictures and the contents and even some videos of us working, but later we realized we didn’t have enough time and if we tried to include all the contents it would have been too much information for our short video.

We have realize how to gain people attention using pictures in movement or creative effects that we have included in our video.
Another thing is that we thought music wouldn’t be too important so first we chose one random song, but later we thought it would be better with a funny song or at least not a sad song, like the one we had chosen at the beginning. So we changed it and the video became in a different one, funnier and more dynamic.
The last thing we have learnt this week is the difficulty of grading someone. When we had to evaluate our classmate’s videos we felt really sad because maybe some groups were the worst for us, but we knew that they had been working hard. And perhaps someone could be angry with us if we graded them with a bad score. So it was a difficult task for us.

Our group need to conserve several things as comradeship, honesty, the good environment we create when we are working in our meetings, kindness, diplomacy and the funny attitude we have when we found some problems in our work and we adopt a relax attitude and solve them easily.

We need to improve as a group talking all together about our problems or suggestions for doing our work in a better way so we can improve our performance.
We should improve the division of our work too, because sometimes when we can’t meet more times in that week and we divided work between the group components, some people have more work than others, and this fact is unfair.

The task of this week has been a summary of what we have learnt in this subject, so I can’t relate it with other contents of our course. Maybe the relation is that we have to summarize in all the subjects the contents we are going to study for a better result, because when you summarize something you see it faster and in an easier way, like we have done in our videos.

From my point of view there is an evident social connection with this content, and it is that in our social life when we are sometimes telling someone what we did last weekend, maybe we want to tell him everything in a short period of time so we forgot essential things and our description finishes being incomplete and poor as some of our videos.

See you guys!
