Hello!!It's the translator of the “DARK SIDE OF TEXTBOOKS” activity of this week.
My task consist in explain five key words of this task because the translator has to take terms that were discussed during the task, the more relevant terms and the more appropriate for understand it.

INFOGRAPHIC: information graphics or infographics are graphic visual representations of information data or knowledge intended to present information quickly and clearly (Mark Smiciklas, 2012). It is a tool which transform the complex data in visual, simple and understandable information. Besides, it's an indisputable fact that images are processed in the brain faster than words. It is very successful to use this tool for several reasons, for instance, summarizing data for a better understanding.

Now I am going to name the types of infographic programs it could be a good choice to use: Visualizor, Google Developers, Ease.ly, Piktochart, Infogr.am, Visual.ly, Infoto Free, Vengage, Dipity and Get About.

COMIC: Story or history explained by bullets or boxes containing illustrations and wherein some or all of the cartoons may contain a fairly short text. Also, can be defined as an ensemble of paintings and words making a story, it could be an adventure comic, a manga comic, anime comic and so on.

<<Lessing asserted that painting works in space and depicts one moment perceived all at once, whereas poetry is apprehended in time and so can depict a succession of moments. Lessing therefore insisted that painting and poetry be kept entirely apart to avoid tainting each other and turning a painting into "a speaking picture" or a text into "a freakish kind of writing">> (Paul Gravett, 2014).
What make a person be concern about a comic? It might be because encourage the person to join the words with the pictures to make a clear image of the story in their heads.

TEXTBOOKS: are a tool for teachers in education, to show the pupils the information they have to learn. They are used in schools, mainly. The textbook contain a lot of information for the child to learn, it is based on the curriculum but in some cases other criteria depending on the editorial. The hardness depends on the educational level in which the child is study, so it won’t be the same text for a eight years old child and for a 12 years old either.
We’ve also missed the fact that high quality textbooks support both teachers and pupils – they free teachers up to concentrate on refining pedagogy and developing engaging, effective learning. (Tim Oates, 2014.)

In short, authors and publishers had made books that were so horrendous that you can just about rule out any improvement in a student’s knowledge of that subject. The basic tactic is to talk around a topic, throw in everything but the kitchen sink, and jumble up the whole mess with lots of hardly-relevant pictures and sidebars. (Bruce, 2012)
The objective of the textbook is to manege improve the children knowledge, but this purpose is not always obtain.
