Have no fear, the Translator is here!

Hello everybody, it´s Holly here once again with another post! This time I´m the translator for my group. You know the drill: I have to choose the five words from this weeks activity that stand out and that are most important.
This is probably going to be the my last ever post because we are at the end of our course, and all we have left really are our exams. I must say it has  been a pleasure posting on here weekly and talking to you all, and I really do hope you like our posts.
Fakebook

Fakebook is an online tool that is mostly used for class activities. It is a site where people can create their own profile of an imaginary, made-up, or real person, and write whatever they want about them. The information they give doesn’t necessarily have to be true, it can all be a lie (hence the name FAKEbook; because it is nine times out of ten all fake data); just to use in a task or activity for school or University.

Authoritarian leaders

Authoritarian leaders are those who like to control everything and make sure all of the employees are doing their jobs properly and not breaking the rules; showing no sympathy for these whatsoever. They feel better when it´s them that make all the important decisions and they prefer when their workers are loyal.

Participative leaders

Participative leaders are those who take pride in their work, believe that employees should be treated and spoken to correctly and with manners, and aspire to take part in activities that they think will be for the better of their surroundings; moreover, these type of leaders like to make a difference in any way they can, and strongly disbelieve in the expression “all for one, and one for all”; this means that, say they owned a large company, if the employees were to ever make a mistake, the leader wouldn’t blame it all on the workers, but he/she would take most of the fall because they are the leader and it´s his/her fault the employees made the mistake in the first place.

Transactional leaders

Transactional leaders are those who depend on two different things: one is the work to be done, and two is that the people doing the work get some little “reward” out of it. It´s like a balance; the leader has jobs to be done, so they employ workers to do it, but then they balance their work time with the things he will be giving back; such as a place to stay and full security for the employees, just for doing the work the leader wants done.

Transformational leaders

Transformational leaders are those who base their beliefs on many different concepts, such as morality, dignity, etc. But the most important is LOVE; these types of leaders think that love is the key to good leadership. Love is a very strong and powerful feeling that is capable of making anybody change their ways; after all, “the most powerful leaders in history are remembered not for their positions, wealth, and number of publications or position but for their unconditional love for others”.
